Phil and Jessica Crouch established Crouch Distilling in 2014. Before opening Crouch Distilling, Phil was a miller for a local organic grain mill. While there his interest in grains evolved from milling grits and flour to brewing beer. One thing lead to another and pretty soon Phil and Jessica were distilling whiskey in their kitchen with a small copper pot still. Phil was inspired to open a distillery where he could use his experience to create a unique line of craft spirits. They take pride in every step of their craft, all the way from the grain to your glass.
They started their distillery to make their own whiskey, not repackage someone else’s. They choose the finest grains and malts for their spirits and mill them onsite themselves. They are proud that they mash and distill their own spirits in small batches. Their whiskeys are aged on site in their unique cooperage and bottled by hand. They've since branched out into brandies and rums, but the goal remains the same. All of their spirits are handcrafted from scratch, using only the best ingredients.
