Returning spirit to its origin, Iron Fish Distillery is the first full line farm distillery in Michigan since Prohibition. Every step of the process is done by hand on their 119 acre, environmentally certified farm, from growing grain to milling, mashing, fermenting, distilling and bottling spirit.
They returned a long time abandoned farm originally founded in 1887, grow winter wheat and rye, manage a small vineyard, and operate a state-of-art production facility, converting grain into spirits served on site and through wholesale distribution. Iron Fish’s farm is environmentally verified under the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program. Their distillers source and seek the best non-GMO and organic grains from Northern Michigan, and they are pleased to support the growing trend of farms shifting grain production for animal feed stock to the local beverage and food movement. Their four season soil-to-spirit end destination is situated in a growing West Michigan regional hub of agricultural destinations tied to local food, wine, mead and craft brewing producers. It features tours, spirits tastings, live music, cocktail classes, community events and fundraisers. Their newly renovated historic barn hosts corporate events, weddings and concerts.

Salted Maple Old Fashioned


Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Bar Spoon (1/4 oz.) of Maple Syrup
  • 2 oz. Maple Bourbon
  • 2-3 dashes Aromatic Bitters
  • 5 Salt Flaks and Orange Twist (garnish)
Directions:
Glass: Rocks Build in glass, ice, and stir until chilled. This drink also tastes great with Iron Fish Experimental Barrel Finished Gin!

The Heartbreaker


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. Cinnamon Simple Syrup
  • 0.5 oz. Sweet Vermouth
  • 1 dash Walnut Bitters
  • 2 oz. Iron Fish Dark Rum
Directions:
Glass: Rocks In rocks glass add bitters, cinnamon syrup, sweet vermouth, and dark rum. Add ice and stir until chilled, then garnish with candied walnut.

Bloody Mary


Ingredients:
  • 2 oz. Michigan Rye Vodka
  • 4.5 oz. Bloody Mix of Your Choice
  • Garnish with celery, pickle, cucumber slice, jalapeno slice, pepper jack cheese, olive, and cherry t
  • Horseradish Vodka
Directions:
Combine all ingredients into a large Collins glass and garnish. >>>> Horseradish Infused Vodka: Rough chop 1 cup of fresh horseradish and steep in one 750mL bottle of vodka for 24 hours.

Smoked Pineapple


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. Orange Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz. Spiced Pineapple Syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • 2 oz. Michigan Wheat White Whiskey
Directions:
Add ice, shake, and strain into a rocks glass.

Nessen City Sour


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz. Apple Cider
  • 1 oz. Cinnamon Syrup
  • 2 oz. Michigan Wheat White Whiskey
Directions:
In a mixing glass combine all ingredients, top with ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into coupe glass and garnish with cinnamon stick.

A Dog Named Rosemary


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. Fresh Rosemary Simple Syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Michigan Winter Wheat Vodka
  • Fresh Grapefruit Juice
Directions:
Salt rim of collins glass, add ice, vodka, rosemary syrup, and fill the rest of the glass with grapefruit juice. Stir cocktail with bar spoon, garnish with fresh rosemary.

Joe Green


Ingredients:
  • 1 Large Lemon Slice
  • 1 Level Bar Spoon Sugar
  • 1 Seeded Jalapeno Slice
  • 2.5 oz. Michigan Winter Wheat Vodka
  • 3 Dashes Black Pepper
  • 4 Mint Leaves
  • Jalapeno Slice on pick
Directions:
Pur all ingredients into mixing glass. Add ice, shake, double strain into a chilled martini glass.

White Cosmo


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. Orange Liqueur
  • 0.75 oz. White Cranberry Juice
  • 2 oz. Michigan Winter Wheat Vodka
  • Splash of Lime Juice
Directions:
In a mixing glass add ingredients, add ice, and stir until chilled. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with orange twist.

Chambergin


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. Rosemary/Sage Simple Syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Experimental Gin
  • 3 oz. Cranberry Juice
  • Splash of Lemon Juice
Directions:
Put all ingredients in a shaker, add ice and shake. Strain into a highball glass over ice and garnish with rosemary or sage leaf.

Sleeping Bear


Ingredients:
  • 0.5 oz. Honey Simple Syrup
  • 0.5 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 2 oz. Michigan Woodland Gin
Directions:
Put ingredients into a shaker, add ice, and shake! Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

Wile E. Coyote


Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz. Jalapeno Infused Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz. Michigan Woodland Gin
  • 3 Sprigs Fresh Cilantro
  • 6 Large Mint Leaves
Directions:
Place the cilantro and mint in the bottom of a mixing glass. Add gin, lime juice, and jalapeno syrup, top with ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into an ice filled rocks glass and garnish. >>>> Jalapeno Infused Simple Syrup: 1:1 Water and white sugar, cooked until sugar is dissolved. While syrup is still very warm, add 1 or 2 halved, seeded Jalapeno peppers. Allow to infuse for 1-1.5 hours. Remove peppers and store syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Keeps for 4-6 weeks.

Green Point


Ingredients:
  • .25 oz. Lime Juice
  • .75 oz. Limecello
  • 0.5 oz. Rosemary Syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Michigan Woodland Gin
Directions:
Add ice, shake, and double strain into a martini or coupe glass.
