The story of Kerrs Creek Distillery began almost 100 years ago in a tiny hamlet of the Catskills. A grandpa and his son decided to distill bootleg alcohol and ship it down to the Big City under the guise of a piano moving business. Packed in pianos, the bottles were moved, undetected, and delivered to countless speakeasies. During prohibition this father-son team refined their craft, taking pride in what they were creating.
This is the same care and pride that Kerrs Creek Distillery embraces today! Kerrs Creek Distillery is a family farm distillery, currently owned and operated by Matthew and Jessica White and Jessica’s parents, Bob and Loretta Beckmann. Being a farm distiller brings an entirely new element to the table. They are working with local farmers, sourcing their ingredients, highlighting all that upstate New York has to offer. They are a distillery with a passion for what they’re doing: Distilling superior spirits. At Kerrs Creek, they are excited to see what the future holds for their business and their products.
