When Chambers Bay Distillery set out to develop a vodka named after the Norse goddess of the sea, the bar was set high. This dangerously seductive Viking deity knew how to throw a ravishing party—at least for those who showed up with some gold. Rán is a wheat vodka infused with a touch of sea salt harvested from the pristine waters of the coast of San Juan Island. It’s the mineral water of vodka. Beautiful, impulsive, insatiable, Rán was a force to be reckoned with. The presence of her spirit will liven up any cocktail.

Aegir's Smash


Ingredients:
  • 0.25 oz. simple syrup
  • 0.50 oz. cointreau
  • 1.5 oz. Rán Vodka
  • 2 lemon wedges
  • 2 lime wedges
Directions:
Muddle lime and lemon. Add Rán Vodka and simple syrup, shake, and strain into ice filled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

Asgard


Ingredients:
  • 1.25 oz. elderflower liqueur
  • 1.25 oz. grapefruit juice
  • 2 dashes rhubarb bitters
  • 2 oz. Rán Vodka
Directions:
Stir and strain into cocktail glass with large ice cube Garnish with a grapefruit peel.

Fog & Mist


Ingredients:
  • 0.25 oz. Absinthe
  • 0.25 oz. dry vermouth
  • 2.5 oz. Rán Vodka
Directions:
Stir with ice, strain into martini glass.

Goddess Blush


Ingredients:
  • 0.25 oz. grenadine
  • 0.50 oz. lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz. triple sec
  • 2 oz. Rán Vodka
Directions:
Shake first three ingredients, strain into cocktail glass and sink the grenadine. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Golden Seduction


Ingredients:
  • 0.50 oz. dry curacao
  • 0.50 oz. peach liqueur
  • 1 dash orange bitters
  • 1 oz. dry vermouth
  • 1 oz. Rán Vodka
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir and strain into a double old fashioned glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Guardian Angel


Ingredients:
  • 0.50 tsp. Cointreau
  • 1 oz. Rán Vodka
  • 1.5 oz. Lillet Blanc
  • 2 dashes angostura bitters
Directions:
Stir and strain into cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

Light & Stormy


Ingredients:
  • 0.50 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 0.50 oz. rosemary simple syrup
  • 2 oz. Rán Vodka
  • 3 oz. club soda
Directions:
Rosemary Simple Syrup:\n1/2 cup sugar\n1/2 cup water\n1 rosemary sprig\nCombine sugar and water in a small saucepan then bring to a boil. Cook, while stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Remove pan from the heat, add rosemary, and then let steep for 1 hour. Discard the rosemary sprig.\n____________________________\nShake Rán Vodka, lemon juice, and rosemary simple syrup with ice. Strain into an ice-filled glass. Top with club soda and garnish with a lemon slice and rosemary sprig.

Rán Martini


Ingredients:
  • 0.25 oz. dry vermouth
  • 3 oz. Rán Vodka
Directions:
Stir with ice, strain into a martini glass, and garnish with a smoked olive.

Rán Vesper Cocktail


Ingredients:
  • 0.50 oz. Besk Liqueur
  • 1.5 oz. gin
  • 1.5 oz. Rán Vodka
Directions:
Add all ingredients to an ice-filled mixing glass. Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Twist a slice of lemon peel over the drink, rub along the rim of the glass, and drop it in.

Sea-Salted Chocolate Martini


Ingredients:
  • 2 oz. Chocolate Liqueur
  • 2 oz. Rán Vodka
Directions:
Shake Rán Vodka and chocolate liqueur with ice. Strain into dark-chocolate and sea salt rimmed Martini glass. Garnish with chocolate curl.

Vahalla


Ingredients:
  • 3 oz. Rán Vodka
Directions:
Shake over ice, strain into Martini glass, and garnish with a lemon twist.

Viking Flower


Ingredients:
  • 0.75 oz. St. Germain
  • 1 oz. Rán Vodka
  • 1 oz. ruby red grapefruit juice
  • Brut Champagne
Directions:
Shake first three ingredients and strain into champagne flute. Top with brut.
