Alongside the Willamette River, in the 100-year-old warehouse originally home to the Borden Milk Factory, there’s a small batch distillery that wants you to taste the sinister side. Family owned and operated, Sinister Distilling is one-half of Albany, Ore.’s first brewstillery.

Founded in 2011 by husband and wife team, Eric ‘Howie’ and Jamie Howard, Sinister Distilling would not be possible without the help and support of their family, friends and community. The Howard’s path towards brewstillery ownership started in 2005 when Howie began homebrewing. He quickly became more active within the homebrewing community, winning awards and even serving as his homebrew club president.

Sinister Distilling specializes in small batch craft spirits. Utilizing only the best locally-sourced ingredients, each of their craft spirits are distilled in their hand-hammered whiskey copper pot still from Portugal. Sinister Distilling’s selection of craft spirits includes an American gin, barrel-aged rum and award-winning grappa.
