When you walk into their distillery, or try one of their spirits, they want you to be impressed. They believe in what they produce, and are proud of what goes into the making each of spirit. These spirits are personal to them. This is craft distilling – not mass production. This is true craftsmanship. The art of craft distilling is not a skill one acquires overnight, and there are no shortcuts to hard earned, hands-on experience. Vapor Distillery, formerly Roundhouse Spirits became the first Legal Distillery in Boulder County, Colorado in 2007. Their Master Distiller, Ted Palmer has 20 years of experience, knowledge, and skill creating new and innovative Handcrafted Spirits.
As their Distillery and reputation grew, they started winning awards. A lot of them. Along with the accolades and attention, they also received something else. Their very first Cease and Desist letter from a giant, international, and no doubt litigious company. The name of their Imperial Barrel Rested Gin took the first hit, and then there seemed to be no shortage of companies with Roundhouse somewhere in their names. It’s fairly apparent that filing trademarks was not very high on their skills list.
In the end it’s all about what’s inside the bottle that really matters. The only thing that has changed is their name – Vapor Distillery – proudly proclaimed (and properly trademarked) on all of their labels. They still produce their Award Winning Spirits. They still have the same Master Distiller and Owner. They are still the same close-knit group of family and friends, and they still have the same passion for the fine art of small batch craft distilling.
It all began in an unassuming garage, with just a simple 3-gallon pot still, Ted Palmer began producing what is now their award winning Rhok Gin. In fact that very same still can be seen in the backroom of their distillery. And while they have grown, that little pot still serves to remind them of their very humble beginnings.

Black Russian


Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. Arrosta Coffee Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Boulder Vodka
Directions:
Combine ingredients in an ice filled rocks glass.

Cowboy Coffee


Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. Arrosta Coffee Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Boulder Ginskey Barrel-Aged Gin
  • Mint sprig (garnish)
Directions:
Combine ingredients in an ice filled rocks glass. Garnish with a mint sprig.

The White House


Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. Arrosta Coffee Liquor
  • 1 oz. Boulder Gin
  • Half & half
Directions:
Add Boulder Gin and Arrosta coffee liqueur to an ice filled highball glass and top with half and half.

Ginger Rodgers


Ingredients:
  • 1 dash of bitters
  • 1 oz. ginger simple syrup
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1.5 oz. Boulder Gin
  • Ginger beer
  • Lemon slice (garnish)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a highball glass, add ice, and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lemon slice.

Nutty Nanny


Ingredients:
  • .5 oz. simple syrup
  • 1 oz. half & half
  • 2 oz. Boulder Gin
  • 2-3 blackberries (save 1 for garnish)
  • Freshly grated nutmeg (garnish)
  • Whipped cream, for garnish
Directions:
In a dry mixing tin, muddle all ingredients together, add ice and shake. Strain into a martini glass, and top with freshly grated nutmeg. Garnish with a dab of whipped cream and a fresh blackberry.

The Elder Moon


Ingredients:
  • .25 oz. elderflower simple syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Boulder Gin
  • 1.5 oz. watermelon juice
  • Mint leaf (garnish)
Directions:
Combine liquid ingredients in a dry mixing tin, add ice and stir. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a mint leaf.

The Flapper


Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • 2 oz. Boulder Gin
  • 2-3 slices of cucumber
  • Club soda
  • Lemon slice (garnish)
  • Mint (garnish)
Directions:
In a dry mixing tin, muddle Boulder Gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and cucumber. Pour into an ice filled collins glass, and top with club soda. Garnish with a mint leaf and a slice of lemon.

The Tart


Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. cherry juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • 2 dashes of bitters
  • 2 oz. Boulder Gin
  • Cherry, for garnish
  • Lemon slice, for garnish
  • Orange slice, peeled
  • San Pellegrino Limonata
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except San Pellegrino Limonata in a dry mixing tin and muddle. Pour into an ice filled collins glass, top with San Pellegrino Limonata. Garnish with a lemon slice and a cherry.

All That Jazz


Ingredients:
  • .5 oz. lemon juice
  • .5 oz. sinnamon simple syrup
  • 1 oz. grapefruit juice
  • 2 oz. Boulder Ginskey Barrel-Aged Gin
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish
  • Grapefruit Italian soda
  • Grapefruit slice, for garnish
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except soda in an ice filled mixing tin, shake, and pour into a collins glass. Top with grapefruit Italian soda. Garnish with a grapefruit slice and a cinnamon stick.

Ginskey Sour


Ingredients:
  • .5 oz. simple syrup
  • 1 dash of bitters
  • 1.5 oz. Boulder Ginskey Barrel-Aged Gin
  • 2 lemon slices, reserve one for garnish
Directions:
Combine ingredients in a dry mixing tin and muddle, add ice and shake. Pour into a rocks glass, and garnish with a lemon slice.

Great Gatsby


Ingredients:
  • .25 oz. lime juice
  • 1.5 oz. Boulder Ginskey Barrel-Aged Gin
  • 2 dashes of bitters
  • Ginger beer
  • Lemon slice, for garnish
  • Mint sprig, for garnish
Directions:
Add Boulder Ginskey barrel aged gin and lime juice to an ice filled highball glass, top with ginger beer. Add two dashes of bitters and garnish with a lemon slice and mint sprig.

Lower Manhattan


Ingredients:
  • .25 oz. Maraschino cherry juice
  • .5 oz. cherry cordial
  • 1 dash of bitters
  • 2 oz. Boulder Ginskey Barrel-Aged Gin
  • Cherry, for garnish
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in an ice filled mixing tin and stir. Strain into a martini glass and top with bitters. Garnish with a cherry and a cinnamon stick.

Maple Mint Julep


Ingredients:
  • .25 oz. maple syrup
  • 2 Mint leaves, plus one for garnish
  • 2 oz. Boulder Ginskey Barrel-Aged Gin
  • Club soda
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except club soda in a dry mixing tin, muddle, add ice, and shake vigorously. Pour into a rocks glass, and top with club soda. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.

Boulder Perfect Lemonade


Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz Boulder Vodka
  • Blackberry, for garnish
  • Ginger lemonade
  • Lemon slice, for garnish
  • Mint sprig, for garnish
  • Splash of club soda
Directions:
Add Boulder Vodka to an ice filled highball glass. Top with ginger lemonade, and add a splash of club soda. Garnish with a lemon slice, mint sprig, and a fresh blackberry.

Classic Martini


Ingredients:
  • 2 oz. Boulder Vodka
  • Lemon twist (garnish)
Directions:
Add Boulder Vodka to an ice filled mixing tin, stir, then strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a fresh lemon twist.

The Boulder Burro


Ingredients:
  • .5 oz. lime juice
  • 2 oz. Boulder Vodka
  • Ginger beer
  • Mint sprig (garnish)
Directions:
Combine Boulder Vodka and lime juice in an ice filled copper mug. Fill with ginger beer, and garnish with a mint sprig.

The Perfect Pear


Ingredients:
  • .25 oz. lemon juice
  • .25 oz. rosemary simple syrup
  • 1 cucumber slice
  • 1 oz pear nectar
  • 1.5 oz. Boulder Vodka
  • Rosemary sprig, for garnish
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a dry mixing tin, muddle, then pour into an ice filled rocks glass. Garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary.

Pumpkinogg


Ingredients:
  • .75 oz. Arrosta Coffee Liqueur
  • 1.5 oz. Pumpkin King Cordial
  • Dab of whipped cream, for garnish
  • Freshly ground cinnamon, for garnish
  • Freshly ground nutmeg (garnish)
  • Half & half
Directions:
Pour all ingredients into an ice filled highball glass, and shake. Garnish with a dab of whipped cream, freshly ground nutmeg and cinnamon.
